Located in the heart of the North Franche Comté automotive cluster, R&D Moteurs was inaugurated on October 28, 2011 in Brognard.
Created by Mr. Bruno Courtalon, the company has been dedicated from the very beginning to the development of engines for "clean vehicles", a tailor-made mission for this former PSA engineer in charge of the development and tuning of internal combustion engines.
In 2017, R&D Moteurs joined the Faurecia Group and became one of its testing centers for the development of pollution control solutions.
On September 30, 2022, this test center became Emitech R&D Moteurs.
In joining the Emitech Group, R&D Moteurs is strengthening the Group's range of test and validation solutions.
R&D Moteurs' equipment includes a high-dynamic engine test bench equipped with the most advanced solutions for measuring pollutant emissions, a vibration exciter with a force of 80kN combined with a climatic chamber, and test benches for the aeraulic and thermodynamic characterization of the components that make up the engine air loop.
These resources complete those available within the Emitech Group and allow us to provide a global response to our customers from the research and development to the validation and qualification phases.
This investment from the Emitech Group confirms its desire to support its customers in all the technologies they are developing for the decarbonization of mobility. For several years, Emitech has been adapting its facilities and investing in solutions for validating electric drivetrains: batteries, electric motors and power electronics. With the acquisition of R&D Moteurs, the Emitech Group is expanding its offer to support developments in combustion engines by orienting R&D Moteurs' industrial tool on new types of fuel: Hydrogen and ammonia.
This investment is also in line with the Group's strategy of strengthening its capacities close to its customers. With Emitech R&D Moteurs and EUROCEM (a Group subsidiary located 1.5km away), the Emitech Group offers a global testing and validation solution in Eastern France, ranging from EMC, mechanical, aeraulic, environmental and combustion testing.
Lastly, Emitech is an engineering company whose wealth is based on the expertise of the women and men who work for it. The entire staff of R&D Engines has strengthened this expertise, which is precious in supporting the Group's development and providing solutions to its customers.
